Simple care instructions for personalized aluminum, brass, copper and pewter keychains, carabiners and pet ID tags.
Everyday cleaning
Wipe the piece with a soft dry cloth. For dirt that does not lift, use a little mild soap and water, then rinse carefully and dry the object and its rings completely.
Avoid harsh products
Abrasive pads, bleach, strong acids and household metal cleaners can remove intentional finishes or change darkened engraving. Test any specialist polish on an inconspicuous area first.
Patina
Brass and copper naturally darken with air, skin oils and moisture. This is not rust. If you prefer a brighter surface, use a product made for the exact metal and keep it away from intentionally oxidized details.
Water and storage
Dry the piece after rain, washing or swimming. When it is not being carried, store it in a dry place away from chemicals, salt and prolonged humidity.
Pet tags
Check the split ring and attachment point regularly. Replace worn hardware and make sure the phone number remains easy to read, especially after active outdoor use.
Carabiner use
Personalized accessory carabiners are for keys and everyday gear unless the product page explicitly states a load rating. Do not use an unrated item for climbing, fall protection or life-safety equipment.
